Jesus meets...

This morning we reminded ourselves of the 4Points that we looked at last week and as we read through the story in John 4 today we looked for examples of each of the 4Points messages in the story:

•Jesus deliberately went to meet her. He loved her
•He knew she had messed up her life but it didn’t matter to him
•He wanted to give her the good news of living water / Holy Spirit / that he was the Messiah
•She was changed by the encounter and told others about it who then believed in Jesus too

Continuing the conversation -
I know my kids have always loved the telling of their birth stories and even the story of when I was born – it’s part of our identities. But what about the story of when you were born again? Maybe there could be an opportunity as you talk about what they’ve learned or see the 4 Points wristband to share your testimony with your children. Talk about how everyone’s stories are different but Jesus’ good news of salvation is always the same.

There might be other opportunities when things happen or questions about life arise to link back to the core message of salvation – which part of God’s story can your child see in a situation?
