Jesus is Lord, whether we acknowledge that and surrender to him or not. In the three stories we have been looking at where fire fell from heaven, the characters in them were all SEEKING the Lord, and OBEYING him, and then fire fell. Seeking and obeying him ‘reflexes’ in us when he is Lord in our lives.
As we lay aside our own plans, and also allow him to set us free from disappointments and fears about his goodness etc., his Lordship can be more deeply established in our lives.
